Vincent D'Onofrio's DON'T GO IN THE WOODS

He'll be known worldwide as one of the detectives in Law &Order:Criminal Content, or Full Metal Jacket but now Vincent D'Onofrio is following the footsteps of many of his compadre's into the world of directoring and we have the trailer for his first attempt. DON'T GO IN THE WOODS is been described as a music/horror hybrid like a slasher musical of some sorts, it has all the ingredients of the typical teen slasher, the young adults, a emo pop band but as like many slashers the terrible music they have this time its revenge the actual emo rockers are the victims! Yipee! Don't Go In The Woods is all about a young band heading into the woods to get away from lifes troubles seeking solitude to write their new album but there's someone in the woods who stalks and attempts to kill each one of the group and their girlfriends. God made rock'n'roll not emo

No word on any British or Irish release but for our American cinephile friends you can catch thi one first on VOD from December 26th then on a limited cinematic release from January 2012.

Don’t Go in the Woods is sound advice, especially when there’s a killer on the loose. First-time director Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Law & Order: Criminal Intent) explores love, greed and ruthlessness in this twisted musical/horror hybrid, telling the story of a young band who heads to the woods to get away from their everyday lives in order to focus on writing new songs. Hoping to walk away from the trip with new tunes that will score them their big break, they instead find themselves in the middle of a nightmare beyond comprehension.
