Watch The Animated Japanese Short TOWER

One thing we haven't seen alot of in 2011 is short films. 2010 we were spoiled by the vast number but this year they seem to come 3 or 4 at a time then nothing for months later but today we have first of 2 short films one animated another not. Ill always be the first to say how much I adore Japanese animation its probably the most diverse range of subjects in the world compared to other countries animation quota, you can say something and they'll probably be a anime for it. However when it comes to Japanese animation especially in the west we tend not to look outside the box and stay in the comfort zone with Naruto, Death Note, but Japan does have a undiscovered delight of independent animators.

Shoko Takada's TOWER is a perfect example of independent Japanese animation thats not from Ghibli or the characters have big cute eyes or bulging breasts. This short works on the power of art and how it affects peoples, visually very colourful, expressive and bursting with imagination! Take a look you never know you might like plus its only 2 and half minutes long!
