2 New Featurettes For Steve McQueen's SHAME Explain The Story and Vision of The Film

About 2 weeks ago I got a chance to watch a preview of Steve McQueen's much anticipated SHAME starring Michael Fassbender as Brandon a man with a sex addiction which is taking him on a downward spiral to his destruction. It was a film that's left me speechless but also in a laughable mood (only at the reaction of some of the audience watching the film with me), maybe also another reason for my indecisiveness is due to the fact I went into this film not actually reading up more on the film. It's a common mistake alot film fans are making, which is probably why we're seeing more and more people walking out of cinemas well before the film has finished and in Shame withing 20 minutes of the film gone at least double figures of people left the film. It's great seeing a film get some great buzz, also winning awards and to go into watch a film purely on that basis can be fatal mistake as it's good to understand why it's award winning and watching Shame 'blind' you would think your watching 'soft porn'. To rectify that Fox Searchlight have released 2 new featurette's for the film, first director Steve McQueen, lead star Michael Fassbender discuss the story behind the film and the second featurette the pair chat about the relationship behind the film along with previous projects. Both featurettes contain new footage and interviews.

SHAME also stars Carey Mulligan, James Badge Dale, Nicole Beharie and will be released in UK&Ireland January 13th 2012 with the film already on general release in USA.

Brandon (Michael Fassbender) is a 30-something man living comfortably in New York balancing a busy job and active social life. When the wayward Sissy (Carey Mulligan), turns up at his apartment unannounced, Brandon’s carefully managed lifestyle spirals out of control.

From award winning director Steve McQueen (Hunger), Shame is a compelling and timely examination of the nature of need, how we live our lives and the experiences that shape us.
