After the positive reviews from this years Sundance film festival I was really frustrated that I was unable to attend Lynn Shelton's YOUR SISTER'S SISTER UK Premiere which happened to be at this year's Glasgow Film Festival.The wait for for the film's cinematic release is matter of a few month's away and tonight the film's American trailer has been released thanks to IFC Films via Yahoo! Movies
Your Sister's Sister stars Mark Duplass as Jack who is struggling to come terms that his brother's death and is advised by his best friend Iris (Emily Blunt) to go to the family's remote cabin for some solitude. When Jack arrives he find's that Iris half sister Hannah (Rose Marie DeWitt) is already there and pair spend a awkward night and Iris arrives the following day unexpected as things start to get a little complicated.Your Sister's Sister does look like it has it's comedy moment but it feels like a little more mature, dramatic and thoughtful, Lynne Shelton will always be remembered as a innovator of the Mumblecore genre, this does have elements of that here but its a natural progression to bigger things here.
Nice trailer but beware it's one of those trailers gives a little to much away, so beware before you watch. Studio Canal are releasing the film in UK on June 29th with IFC Films in USA on June 15th.
