"When in Rome Do what The Romans Do" is a universal saying covering many things, that's including moving to another country respecting the customs of that place. If you decide to move to Moldova like in the trailer for They're watching, what ever you do, do not mention or toast to a witch!
You'll be saying "Not another POV film?!!" Yes this one is and the horror genre seems to release as many as quick as a Chickenpox outbreak. Many are average but occasionally we get one bright spark that delivers some hope for the horror sub genre. This one comes from gaming/animator/comic books artists Micah Wright and Jay Lender known for their work for Spongebob Squarepants and Call Of Duty seem to deliver a new spun on the classic horror premise.
When an American home improvement TV show visits a remote Eastern European village, the young crew thinks the lack of mocha lattés and free wifi will be the worst of their problems. But after their filming interrupts the superstitious villagers' private religious ritual, the situation takes a turn for the homicidal… and when the blood starts flowing, that's when things get really weird.
They're Watching is set for a limited cinema release/VOD in USA, no word for UK release but don't be surprised if this appears at FrightFest London or directly onto DVD. David Alpay, Brigid Brannagh, Kris Lemche, Carrie Genzel and Mia Faith star.
