If you love Hong Kong action/thrillers like the way they used to do it when Woo ruled the waves well Dante Lam is your man! Senior Inspector Don Lee relies heavily on the information provided by stool pigeons in his job.

Barbarian is a painstakingly meticulous armed robber. Don needs an informant to infiltrate his gang. He recruits street-racer Guy. Guy provides information on Barbarian's next job, but Don is unable to effectively act on them until the final moment. Since Barbarian has not left any evidence, Don is pressured to convince Guy to become a witness for the prosecution.

Don promises to provide Guy with a new identity in another country, but the departure is beset by accidents and Guy only barely makes it to safety.

Haunted by his ruined relationships with his ex-wife and former stool pigeons, Don no longer wants to be part of a world that is one betrayal after another.

Are you one of those people who just cant get a date to have a lovelife?Cyrano Dating Agency maybe the ones to help you! This is new movie from South Korea  about  the agency that  helps the clients but they move together working on secret missions. with their goal to work in the background and until now they've had 100% sucess until they meet Min-yeong.
He is mr unpredictable, got the qaulities but just bad at the dating but he has one lady in his sights Hee-joong, very loveable person  but when the agency sees Min-Yeong's profile panic stations trigger, can this be another sucessfull job for the agency?
It sound abosuletly crazy and if Hollywood attempted this movie it would just be so generic another Hitch probably, only the Asians can get away with making obsure movies sucessfully.
Cyrano Dating Agency stars Eom Tae-woong, Lee Min-jeong, and Park Sin-hye with the movie getting its release in South Korea on September 16th, trailer after the break...

Trailer for Derek Kwok's FROZEN (Wai nei chung ching )

First time I noticed the title of this movie I was expecting it was a Chinese remake of the Adam Green movie of the same which comes out in uk on October 1st, but this is completely different.
Derek Kwok's Frozen or Wai Nei Chung Ching is about a woman Cyronically frozen in 1989 to waken up 20 years later to find out her then newborn is older than her! We've seen many movies likes of Freaky Friday where kids swap bodies with children, but I cant recall a movie like this where the kid is now older than the parent though has been the odd time travelling classic movie such as Back To The Future where Marty meets his mum.
The movie does sound very interesting and does have the charm you expect from a chinese/hong kong movie intwined with some fantasy, I didnt expect to see those big hairstyles again (I was 14 in 1989 remember them well!!!)
Frozen is out in Hong Kong on September 2nd, trailer after the break....

This movie is soon to make its international premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival CHRZEST (The Christening) by Marcin Wrona.
Due to the artish style to this movie will make sure this movie will pick up a few accolades along the road when it does its rounds of the film festivals and I agree with this source of this trailer it does have a mixture of the movies Brothers mixed with History of violence. The whole movie looks to have click well together the cinematography, the intergation of the scenes into action into drama, so if your looking for a slighty different spin on the crime thriller movie, this could be the one to check out.

Michal has what he always dreamed of: a beautiful wife named Magda, a newborn son, his own firm. He chooses an old friend, Janek, to be the godfather of his child. This is just the beginning of Michal's plan, who asks his friend to take an interest in his wife... At the beginning the plan works out, but it becomes increasingly difficult for Michal to come to terms with it. Michal knows his deeply hidden past will inevitably come back to him, and Janek will have to make a decision, of which he will never forget the consequences.

Micahel Madsen is a Wall Street Trader in KRACH

source QuietEarth
There was a time when Michael Madsen would pop up virtually every big hollywood movie on the planet then suddenly he would dissappear of the face of the earth. Then a cult type movie would come out there he is again then vavoom, no where to be seen until now is in a French movie by Fabrice Genestal, KRACH.
With the world's economy in such a bad state it would be only a matter of time old school Wall Street trading movies from 1980's would be back on our screens, okay we Know Wall Street 2 by Olivier Stone is heading our way in October but the French look likely to beat him with this movie with Gilles Lellouche a Wall Street trader fired by his boss (Madsen) for loosing $millions and he decides to against Madsen.
Will this be any good? hard to tell maybe in Native France but as outside French speaking world probably not though Madsen does look like a real badass in this! Trailer after the break...

Low Budget Killer in Norway's DARK SOULS

Online, in magazines we get to see what mainstream movies have to offer or at least think they have to offer, one thing at my blog I like to cover trailers for movies from many continents & countires including Scandinavia. I do my best to try cover all levels of film making but I will say alot of low budget flicks dont seem to get alot of airtime and Scandinavians do have there fare share of low budget movies including this one DARK SOULS( Mørke sjeler).
Alot of low budget movies get made of all genres and they get dished out ten a penny majority just plain crap unwatchable but there's always the odd one that stands out worthy of mention and  Mathieu Peteul and César Ducasse's Dark Souls is one of them.
The movie is doing the tour of the film festivals worldwide picking up a few awards on its tour and from the trailer below you can see the movie is very gritty and is not scared of throwning in a bit of brutality. Black and Decker should get this as a promo ad for their drills as there plenty on view but are the victims are they zombies? I dont think so a little bit like the critters from that dodgy 1980's flick with Patrik Stewart Lifeforce crossed with the affect from 28 Days Later, mmm? Trailer after the break...
