A new 11 minute sci-fi short SOMNOLENCE created by Patrick Kalyn who has a impressive cv of movies he has worked on as a visuall effect animator: X-Men:Last Stand, Avatar, District 9, King Kong,Jumper,Waterhorse. Having the privlage of working on many well known popualr movies Kayln was able to get a $10,000 (£7,500) and access to much equipment the movie was filmed overed a 2 day period in Vancouver and Kayln hopes the short can be made into a feature film one day.
By 2031, the Earth has exhausted its supply of fossil fuels. With the world on the verge of collapse, nations from around the globe form a coalition called AREN; the ‘Manhattan Project’ of clean self-replenishing energy. When an experiment goes wrong that threatens the world’s existence, David Canterra and a team of elite soldiers are sent on a mission to stop the anomaly.
