Its hard times out there, no prospects, no sight of getting a job, times are grim but whose to blame? Blame the clowns!HENRY & SUNNY is delightful but tragic little love story of Henry a Clown who is love with a tv star Sunny he writes her letters but nothing in returned or acknowledged but what if Sunny does like Henry is there someone preventing them meeting each other?
The look of this short is fantastic filmed completely in black &white it feels like one of those sad clown pictures that probably hung in some houses living rooms right upto the 1980's very kitsch. I do love the BIG SSHOES seller cheesy but brilliant for this movie.

Henry & Sunny is the bittersweet tale of Henry, an unemployed clown in love with the famous soap opera actress, Sunny Carmichael. Beautifully photographed in high contrast black and white, Henry & Sunny is a melancholy tale of true love against all odds. Written & directed by Fergal Rock, this low-budget Irish short has screened at festivals across Europe and the US where it received nominations in the Best Director and Best Actress categories at the Feel Good Film Festival in Hollywood. The film was awarded the Best Cinematography prize at the Underground Cinema Awards in Ireland.
