Watch The Fantastic Trailer For Nikolaj Feifers JUNK LOVE

Back in January we gave you the teaser trailers for Nokolaj Feifers JUNK LOVE a fantastic looking Science fiction drama short. The 30 minute film inspired by the great science fiction drama's of the 1970's Solaris, Silent Running even Space Odyssey 2001 and more recently David Jones Moon which also took inspiration from the same decade.

Junk Love's producer Mikkel Jersin Nissen has recently got in touch with Cinehouse sending us the movies now full trailer plus a few new stills from the movie and we can say we are mightily impressed, here's what the director Feifers had to say about JUNK LOVE:

“I got the idea because I originally wanted to make a story about an ill dying man. Then I thought to myself that instead of doing the classical hospital story, what could be a much more interesting metaphor? Well, for instance a man in a metal coffin as far away from everything as possible - One man alone in space.”

Mikkel Jersin Nissen himself told us:

“ To me it seems that Danish cinema has been struggling with a lack of original ideas for some time now. When Nikolaj introduced me to this project, I knew straight away that he was on to something special. And I knew that he was probably the only Danish director with the guts to pull it off. Junk Love is a scandinavian  space poem - It's got poetic depth like few other Sci Fi films, and that was my hook on the story“

Lars Von Trier is certainly one of the filmmakers that have put Danish film industry on the map and what we like about Feifer he is telling the world Danish Film industry isn't just Lars Von Trier, outside the director the quality of films is such a high standard. People should embrace national film industries as a whole rather than one or two individuals the gap between world cinema, independent films and Hollywood is  getting smaller time to open your eyes to new promising filmmakers like Nikolaj Feifers. Junk Love is also a perfect example for aspiring new film makers trying to break into feature length movies, Short movies do work get the experience and those big studios will take notice!

It's finally great to know that this short movie will tour the international film festivals from autumn the whole concept, feel of the movie definitely has the feel of a feature length  movie.

Produced by Mikkel Jersin N, the film stars actor and Robert-winner Peter Plaugborg as Edwin, the lone crew member aboard the SS Hamlet, a spacecraft slowly leaking his oxygen supply into space. If he cannot find a way to fix the leak his own life will be lost. A distant memory about his lost wife is what keeps him alive when facing death.

The movie also stars  Lisa CarlehedRasmus Botoft and David Owe.
