Been from a family that's adored rock music in its many forms including punk rock probably cemented my own love into the music genre too. Myself I took the classic rock moving into the metal side of things eventually into hardcore, punk music, an open door to nihilism not been yourself and giving a four x against what people thought of the music. When you mention punk to the untrained ear they automatically think Sex pistols, Ramons, The Clash but anyone even with an inkling knows there was life outside those bands with towns, regions even countries all with a distinctive sound.

Throughout the decades since its birth there has been several bands that have made their mark on the scene but as they grow older and wiser, they start learn there's more than one F word an F word that brings more responsibility Fatherhood. The Other F Word is a new documentary that looks at some of Punks anti authoritarians become fathers moving from there young anarchic days into mid life responsibilities bringing up children. The moving tale follows Blink-182′s Mark Hoppus, Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath.

What happens when a generation’s ultimate anti-authoritarians — punk rockers– become society’s ultimate authorities — dad’s? With a large chorus of Punk Rock’s leading men – Blink-182′s Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath- The Other F Word follows, Jim Lindberg, 20-year veteran of skate punk band, Pennywise, on his hysterical and moving journey from belting his band’s anthem, ‘Fuck Authority’, to embracing his ultimately pivotal authoritarian role in mid-life, fatherhood.
