Trailer For Steampunk Short THE WARS OF OTHER MEN

I love science fiction films especially ones that are set in era invaded by technology you wouldn't really associate with era like in this short film THE WARS OF OTHER MEN. This steampunk film takes place in 1920's alternate world of a Lieutenant involved in a loosing war .The enemy has begun to dominate the battlefield with their new chemical super weapon, known only as "the Fog." When his superiors learn the location of the facility that manufactures the Fog, the Lieutenant is ordered to lead a squad through the war torn city to capture the scientist responsible for its creation... at a terrible cost to soldier and civilian alike. With the lives of his men and the fate of the war hanging in the balance the Lieutenant must make a choice -- will he be a good soldier or will he be a good man?

You can see that this film is a low to no budget production probably with volunteers in cast as well as crew that maybe off putting for some people but occasionally a film comes along proving guerilla filmmaking works if approached in the right creative way. The Wars of Other Men might not provide anything particularly original in the plot but the production team have certainly captured the essence of a bleak wartorn land, check out the trailer.
