Our world is one big f**ked up conspiracy theory well, in the late 1980's Rowdy Piper made us believe that in They Live 2012 we need Piper back to chew more gum and kick even more ass in BRANDED. The power of advertising seems to be so strong even today advertising rules our life but in this film from Jamie Bradshaw and Aleksandr Dulerayn its everywhere we even 97 unique scannable QR codes of brands some reallife others a little on the creepy side,(also leading you to the film's website, related assets) but that's how powerful advertising is!
Branded is a dark and mind-controlling journey into a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a epic global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive. One man's Misha (Ed Stoppard) passion to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.Probably one of the craziest things you'll see this weekend and if you really look at it many companies already control our lives whose to say these things don't happen already.
This one might just get a cinema release, fingers crossed it will as curiosity is dragging me towards the film or its luxury sports car I wish had (Ferrari says Buy our sports car paul!). Branded stars Jeffrey Tambor, Leelee Sobieski, Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Max Von Sydow , September 7th is USA Release, no word for UK&Ireland.
