American Trailer for Gasper Noe's ENTER THE VOID

Just last week I posted the poster and opening credits for Gasper Noe's ENTER THE VOID, well today IFC Films have posted the offical American trailer for the film which you can check out after the break.

This is Noe'slong awaited follow up movie since the  controversial Irreversible which premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film festival. I dont know why its taken so long for the movie to get an American distributor (still no sign of a UK release though) possibly a sign of how difficult a movie to promote or simply the directors reputation prevails.This marketing is however less risque than the Japanese one which did portray alot of the movies sexual nature though this version does play up on the drug side of things

The trailer does a fantastic job promoting the movie well I do love the strobe lighting, colour scheme of the movie which is a brilliant repersentation of the Tokyo Nightlife where the movie is based in. IFC Films are giving this flick a limited release stateside from September 24th.

American Trailer For The Chinese Remake of The Coen Brothers movie A Woman, A Gun And A Noodle Shop

It's not just the American's who remake movies left right and centre, The Asian market has its fair share of remakes some obscures other you expect but at no time would I see a Coen Brother's movie been remade but one has. That movie is Blood Simple and below is the American Trailer for A WOMAN, A GUN AND A NOODLESHOP.
The movie has been remade by House of The Flying Daggers/Hero director

Yimou Zhang and typically Chinese they concentrate more on the humour factor rather the drama  and guess what American fans can catch this movie as it goes on a limited release on September 3rd as for UK &Ireland there is no word, more likely direct to DVD.

If you are a lover of movies or a student of film studies if you were to study one movie to learn about film making especially how to creat a dystopian sci-fi , you should look no further than METROPOLIS.

The silent movie masterpiece was created by Fritz Lang in 1927 and a few years back, 25 minutes footage previously thought was lost was found and now the restoration of the complete movie is ready to be admired once again on our big screens. During September as well October special screeenings/educational screenings will take place all around UK & Ireland  and you can find the full list of screenings on the specially made website .
Just think if it wasnt for movies like this movies like Blade Runner and probably the whole science fiction movie genre wouldn't have been created, Metropolis is a true cinematic piece of history, trailer after the break....
