Win Suspenseful Frost On DVD

No comments:
To celebrate the release of the highly suspenseful horror that's “Guaranteed to deliver chills” (Dread Central) - ‘Frost’ out on DVD 10th February through Entertainment One - we have a copy to give away to one brave winner!

‘The Thing’ meets ‘The Blair Witch Project’ in this terrifying tale of arctic survival. ‘Frost’ keeps the found footage genre alive with its edge-of-your-seat tension and visually ominous atmosphere. The breathtaking landscape of the desolate icy glaciers superbly adds to the suspense especially when the dark of the night descends making ‘Frost’ one of the most tense expeditions into the snowy unknown we’ve encountered for a very long time.

Filmmaker Gunnar (Björn Thors) arrives at a remote glacier camp on the outskirts of the Arctic Circle to meet up with physiologist Agla (Anna Gunndís Guðmundsdóttir) to make a documentary about the research being conducted there. The next day they discover the camp mysteriously abandoned and their co-workers gone without a trace.

As darkness descends and the camp is shaken with ear-splitting shrieks and violent flashing lights, the couple bravely venture out into the vast nothingness frantically following a trail of blood in the snow in the hope that it’ll lead them to their missing colleagues, unaware of what they’ll find at the other end…

Fancy 'frosting up' your DVD collection by winning a copy of Frost on DVD? Great! To enter please answer this simple question...

Bloody mayhem reigns supreme in this gritty and uniquely stylised Viking actioner. Viking and Saxon go head to head in a thrilling new feature starring up-and-comer Charlie Bewley (The Twilight Saga, Like Crazy, The Vampire Diaries). With a cast of veteran actors, rising stars and a story slick with bloodthirsty action and an unnerving twist, Hammer of the Gods is an action-packed treat that makes the players in Game Of Thrones look positively normal.

You Need To Fight If You Want To Escape (Flukt) This July

No comments:

The director and star of the critically acclaimed Cold Prey team up once again for a thrilling, action-packed adventure that marries the best of The Hunger Games and Mad Max as a young girl fights for survival against brutal warriors in a disease-ridden medieval world. This July Escape (Flukt) will arrive on DVD in UK in July

Ten years after the Black Plague ravaged their country, a poor family sets out on a journey for a new home. On a remote mountain pass, they are attacked by a band of merciless killers led by the vicious Dagmar (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal) and the only one spared is young Signe (Isabel Christine Andreasen), who is taken hostage. At the gang’s camp she meets fellow kidnap victim Frigg (Milla Olin) and learns that a terrible fate awaits her. There is nothing for it but to escape, but Dagmar will not let Signe go that easily…

Escape is like The Hunger Games stripped bare – a strong heroine, fast-paced action, awesome archery, but not a love triangle in sight! It’s a beautifully filmed, uncompromising tale of survival-against-the-odds with top performances and stunning scenery that’ll leave you wanting a trip to Norway!

Escape(Flukt)is directed Roar Uthaug (Cold Prey) and stars Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Cold Prey, Cold Prey 2), Kristian Espedel aka Gaahl (frontman of Gorgoroth, Trelldom and Gaahlskagg) and the film arrives on DVD in UK on 29th July.

Finger Licking Killer Joe Coming To DVD& BluRay November!

No comments:
When Killer Joe arrived in UK&Irish cinemas it left some cinephiles feeling finger licking good for some of the colonel's favourite recipe and in November you will be able to bring home a box that's a DVD or Bluray box of the film.In Killer Joe Matthew McConaughey delivers what many are calling a career-best performance in this violent and darkly comic neo-noir thriller that marks a blistering return to form for “The Exorcist” and “The French Connection” director William Friedkin.

When small-time drug dealer Chris Smith finds himself seriously in debt to his supplier, he hatches a plan to have his estranged mother killed in order to claim the $50,000 life insurance due to be paid to his younger sister, Dottie. To do the job, he hires Killer Joe Cooper, a creepy, corrupt and crazy Dallas cop who Chris is informed moonlights as a professional hit man. Unable to pay Joe’s fee upfront, Chris agrees to provide a “retainer” in the form of Dottie, with whom Joe has immediately become besotted. However, following the murder of his mother, Chris’ plan begins to unravel in a series of unexpected twists involving the interference of his father’s new wife, Sharla, and the development of an unlikely bond between Joe and Dottie.

As pure, unadulterated entertainment Friedkin’s second collaboration with writer Tracy Letts (following 2006’s “Bug”) has it all – steamy sexuality, shocking violence, a compelling storyline, lashings of black humour and, most of all, a killer cast of actors all at the top of their game. McConaughey effectively shakes off his rom-com shackles once and for all, while Juno Temple delivers a scene-stealing performance in a movie likely to leave viewers both exhilarated and shaken at the same time.

Killer Joe is due out in UK&Ireland on November 5th, starring Emile Hirsh, Juno Temple, Thomas Haden Church and Gina Gershon.

No comments:

It may have been loved by the mainstream critics however The Pact has been a hit with the Horror critics, fans and this Monday 1st October the film will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray. To get you into that spooktastic feeling for the release we have a couple clips which hopefully give you a few shivers. The second clip is called ' Hotel Terror' showcases one of The Pact's more grisly moments. It's not exactly NSFW but it's certainly creepy! It follows Annie  as she very sensibly decides to leave her haunted house and stay the night in a motel. But will the haunted house leave her quite so easily…?

The Pact also stars Casper Van Dien, Agnes Bruckner and Kathleen Rose Perkins . The Pact will be arriving in UK&Ireland on DVD, Blu-ray courtesy of eOne Entertainment on October 1st.

Win [REC]3 Genesis On DVD

No comments:

Paco Plaza, co-writer and co-director (with Jaume Belaguero) of the first two movies, goes it alone for this outing and breathes new life into the proceedings by bravely and totally unexpectedly giving the series a whole new spin. Closer in tone to “Shaun Of The Dead”, “Army Of Darkness” and “Braindead” that to its more sombre predecessors, it also introduces some truly iconic images, not least of which is the one of the movie’s bloodied heroine dressed in her revealingly torn bridal gown and wielding a chainsaw.

Genesis (eOne) is available on DVD and Blu-ray now! To celebrate the release, we have DVD copies up for grabs!

As the families and friends of Koldo and Clara gather outside the church in the bright Spanish sunshine just prior to the happy couple’s wedding, it seems that nothing could possibly cast a shadow on such a beautiful and joyous occasion. But when some of the guests start behaving oddly during the reception, it becomes apparent that all is not well. In no time at all, the party descends into a hellish scene of utter carnage as partygoers begin feeding on each other with a crazed bloodlust. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Koldo and Clara become separated as those still in control of their human minds and bodies seek whatever refuge they can find. Although apart, the newlyweds know deep in their hearts that each is still alive and set out on a desperate search for each other not fully realising that what should have been the happiest day of their lives could prove to be their last.
