Who said it was just Hollywood who could just create the big glossy blockbuster action flicks? No one did and if there somebody they never told Belgian filmmaker
Jérôme Salle. On 16th February, 2011 LARGO WINCH 2 will be released in Belgium a movie based on the popular graphic Novels created by Philippe Francq about a young man who inherits a massive empire after his adoptive father is murdered.
Is it me does this sound like Green Hornet mixed up with James Bond plus a few other movies im sure I can think off?!Im not saying this is a bad thing  well they do have a few leg openers in the form of some fantastic car chases and Sharon Stone (Cleese in south Africa and Kietel in SouthKorea, times must be hard here!).
Largo Winch comicbooks are really popular in the French speaking parts of the world but Forbidden Planet comicbooks do have in stock the english language version of the books!!!
LARGO WINCH 2: THE BURMA CONSPIRACY is out in Belgium on February 16th,2011 trailer after the break...

If youve seen Dead Hooker In A Trunk you'll know these girls, Jen and Sylvia Soska Canadian indetical twins who showed alot of acting potential in the Canadain low budget fick. Now te pair are back with another dose of indie horrr with AMERICAN MARY.
For any girls obbessed with beauty and believe that to get more beautiful you have to go under the knife to get plastic surgery maybe they should check out this movie. This movie has an big Frankstien feel to it and it makes you wonder if the movies title is a homage to a certain Mary Shelly who brought us Franky boy all those years ago?

Trailer aftr the break...

American Mary is the story of a medical student named Mary who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the established doctors she once idolized. The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries, which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele.

Part 3 of GASPAR NOE'S Of Making of Enter The Void

No comments:

VBS.tv have sent me the third part (and final one) of the short documentary of the Making of Gaspar Noe's ENTER THE VOID. Vice went to Tokyo to try and find the notoriously secretive director while he was filming 'Enter the Void'. The resulting film sees how Gaspar was shooting a film in the sex clubs of Tokyo using the Japanese Yakuza mafia as his “locations managers”, hanging out with him in and asking him about his project. This film is an incredible insight into Gaspar and the location in which Enter the Void was filmed and the entertaining nature of the films should definitely keep your readers' attention.

A SINGLE MAN

by Travis, The Movie Encyclopedia
Hello I am the movie encyclopedia and if no one else will see it, I will.
Tom Ford is a name that most women know by heart. Guys scratch there heads and gays rejoice in one of their idols. Tom Ford has been a very influential stylist and designer for a long time but everyone has to evolve. So evolve Ford did but instead of doing a runway show on Lifetime or Bravo he decided to make a movie based on an under appreciated Christopher Isherwood novel called a Single Man.
A Single Man is the story of George. It's November 30, 1962 and its the day he says he is going to commit suicide. He is a British professor who is struggling after his partner died suddenly 8 months ago. George is fixated on the past and thinks his future is an empty void. He plans on meeting with his best friend Charley for dinner buts gets sidetracked by a Spanish prostitute and a young student who becomes fixated with George.
If this film looks like Mad Men then don't be surprised when I tell you it was made with the same phenomenal production team behind it. Tom Ford financed the movie himself and hired the best people he could to help him out. It shows in everything in the film. Everything LOOKS authentic and time appropriate. Everything feels like the 60s and it adds a lot to the film. Colin Firth's George is brilliant. While Firth isn't exactly on my radar as a great actor (I did like him in Bridget Jone's Diary though) this almost totally changed my mind. His performance is deep, thoughtful and he really pulls you in with his performance. Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode add a lot to this movie as well. While both their parts are a bit smaller they do mean a lot to the plot and add some serious depth.
This film is one that is really style AND substance. It mixes all of it together to create a deep, well acted masterpiece. I recommend this to anyone who likes a little flair with their film.
MY VERDICT: OWN IT
MOVIE RATING: 4 out of 5
