Trailer For FOODLAND

No comments:

sourceQuietEarth
FOODLAND is a tale of supermarkets, life spiraling out of control as well as show how pathetically stupid staff can be. Quietearth describe the movie as  "a cross between a coming of ager, a small town heist film and Kids in the Hall. Which is to say it looks distinctly Canadian." Well Im not Canadian so what there sense of humour is I couldnt tell you, best thing to do is check out the trailer!

Foodland follows a naïve grocery clerk, Trevor, as his life spirals out of control when he inadvertently helps his inept manger, Ian, rob the store. When the money is lifted off Trevor and Ian, they enlist the help of Glen, a slimy, incompetent detective, to retrieve the stolen cash. But events soon go awry and Trevor must now determine friend from foe, and get the cash back before it’s too late.

UK Trailer For THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNETS NEST

No comments:
This should have been posted last week but I never received it via email but thanks to TrailerAddict here’s the UK Trailer for THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNETS NEST the concluding movie of the exciting Millenium Trilogy created by the Late Swedish Author Steig Larrson.

I hold my hands up Ive never seen The Girl Who Played With Fire, I tried in February at Glasgow Film Festival but I was unsucessfull in getting tickets, same goes with several other movies as well so recently my introduction to the movies started with movie 2. It may have not have been the best movie to start with as its a slow burner but it was still intense and exciting and like many movie trilogies its simply setting the movie up for its big finale.I do hope to check the 1st movie out before next month when the final movie arrives on November 26th.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest was directed by Daniel Afredson and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Nyqvist, Lena Endre, Sofia Ledarp, Jacob Ericksson, Georgi Staykov and Annika Hallin.

RAINDANCE 2010: THE LAKE EFFECT Trailer

No comments:

Since the start of my two movie blogs Ive discovered a rich tapestry of fantastic independent , world cinematic movies, discovering there is life outside mainstream cinema and personally at times I prefer it to the big boys. One Film festival which kicked off tonight in London is the Raindance Fillmfest and what I love about this festival is they showcase the great indie movies in and around the UK as well as the world, the give new talent a platform to showcase themselves and they do also give the ordinary person from the street a chance to enjoy some alternative movies too.
One movie which will have its world premiere will be THE LAKE EFFECT, a new movie Coming off its win at the Moondance Film Festival in Colorado, The Lake Effect has a stellar cast including Kay Panabaker (Fame), Ross Partridge (Baghead) and UK-native Tara Summers (Factory Girl). Part of the new crop of DIY filmmakers, director Tara Miele was eight months pregnant while shooting The Lake Effect, a film about parenthood.
Below is the trailer for the movie which will kick off on October 5th and 6th at Apollo cinema London. Also below is some new images as well the movies offical press release too.A big thanks to Jennifer Westin one of the movies Producers who sent me the email containing the info in this post.

Trailer For Icelandic Movie JITTERS (Oroi)

Icelandic Teenagers living it large in Manchester with JITTERS (Oroi), not much happens in the trailer which can be seen as a good thing as theres too many movies who have trailers who spoil everything! Sad that the movie looks at teenagers evaluting life, depression, you may cringe but too many people take there lives and this movie sort looks at the devasting effect a suicide has on friends & family.

On a trip to England, Gabriel meets Marcus, a free thinking, rebellious teenager. After returning home, it becomes clear to his family and friends that Gabriel has changed.

A series of unfortunate events causes Gabriel's best friend Stella to take her own life. Devastated by Stella's death, Gabriel falls into a black hole of despair and begins to reevaluate his life, which ultimately forces him to reveal his agonizing secret.

Theatrical Trailer For Award Winning Documentary MARWENCOL

No comments:

Thanks to everyone keeping the faith with the blog as well the Peoples Movies, its been a hard time for all, I'm doing my best with a new job and now very limited time to post and been let down by several people who offered to help out and basically stabbed me in the back.
There is however one person true to his word and helped me out thats Cinehouse supporter Pierre who alerted me to this, the theatrical trailer for MARWENCOL. This is a documentary is about Mark Hogancamp a man who was brutally assulted and beaten to a pulp left for dead leaving Mark with Brain damage and massive loss of memory. The documentary catalogues Mark's fascinatiing unusal road to recovery by creating 1:16 scale fictional town of Marwencol set in WW2 all created in his backyard and watching the movie you can see he has become consumed in the whole town.
The movie is also further evidence that people's road to recovery from a pyshical injury & psychological scars are different and the so called 'convental' way isn't always the answer.Marwencol is a captivating movie which you deeply connect with Mark and you do have the feeling you are on that road to recovery with him, its sad but deeply uplifting.
The movie has won numerous awards including SXSW, Cleveland, Seattle and Comic-Con Best Documentary Awards, so if thats not proof to check this out  well enough said. IFC Films will release the movie in USA on October 8th but no word on the British release, hopefully cinematically but more likely to be direct to DVD, trailer after the break....

Trailer For Gao Qunshu's WINDBLAST

No comments:

 Source 24FPS
Gao Qunshu's WINDBLAST is looking like a bit of a revelation as in mainland China as its seems to be the country's first action crime thriller. You might say 'Really' yes it is and if you look at it Hong Kong though now part of China has been making these type of movies for a long time whilst China has been creating more traditional, historical epics which are fantastic too.
The movies plot sees 4 detectives with an unique skill all chasing a criminal who has escaped to the desert but there not the only fours tracking the criminal he also has to contend with 2 bounty hunters as well!
The movie stars Duan Yihong, Xia Yu, Wu Jing, Yu Nan and Charlie Young with the movie hitting the Chinese cinema's from October 28th and if things go well we can expect to see this on DVD around early 2011, trailer after the break...
