Harvey Keitel is THE LAST GODFATHER Korean slapstick comedy

source BeyondHollywood
When a Asian movie has Western actors in their flick there usually unknowns who are acting in every part they can get hoping they will be spotted or there actors who are actually based in that country. You never here about big named actors lets say Harvey Keitel suddenly appears in a Korean movie from Hyung-rae Shim you'll think im taking the piss... How wrong you are!!!! THE LAST GODFATHER is the latest flick from Dragon Wars director Shim which stars Keitel as Don Carini who is about to name his heir and he names Younggu (played by the director Hyung-rae Shim ) his son!!!
The movie has went in the slapstick direction of comedywhich is very rare these days and even the Western actors do look okay in this as well, no crappy CGI as in D-Wars. So think Younggu as a Korean Mr Bean and you'll get the drift, trailer afer the break....

In 1951, Don Carini, the most powerful godfather in the mafia gathers all his followers to announce the heir to the family. The head of each department expects to be crowned the next Don but they hear a shocking story from Don Carini. During his travels in Asia, he fell in love with an Asian woman and bore a son with her. He proceeds to introduce his now grown son Young-gu and announces that he will be the next boss. Bonfante, the betrayer in the outfit, wants Young-gu and the aging Don out. Bonfante and his minions try to sabotage Young-gu’s training and take out the boss. He is relentless to wipe the slate clean and to take over as the new Don. Will this be possible? Can Young-gu become the next boss and lead.

Final Trailer For Adam Mason's LUSTER

No comments:
source TWITCH
Know Your Enemy as the poster says, but who is the enemy? Andrew Howerd stars as Anderew Luster a trouble businessman who is trying to make sense in whats going on and only to find who he is arguing with is nastier manipulative alter ego. murder, madness and mayhem will take Luster in one hell of a roller coster ride of his life.
I really love the way the trailer shows the two sides of Luster the good and the bad sides it reminded me of the Andy Serkis Gollum/smeagol part in Lord of The Rings movies, smartly done to make the viewer think there is actual two people. Apparently this movie has taken a long time to be made but now its in the final stages of post production before its release date and to tell how long its been in post production director Adam Mason has made  the horror movie PIG .
LUSTER also stars Xander Berkley (24, Nikita, Kick Ass), Holly Valance (Neighbours, Taken, Shark, Prison Break) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Drive Angry 3D), trailer after the break.....

Full Trailer For ASHITA NO JOE (Tommorow Joe)

No comments:
source Nippon Cinema
The full trailer for live action verion of the popular manga/anime ASHITA NO JOE has appeared online thanks tothe movies website.
The movie is based on the boxing drama created by Tetsuya Chiba and Asao Takamori classic of the same name of of joe(played by Tomohisa Yamashita) a trouble youth who meets  Dampei Tange (Teruyuki Kagawa) who teaches him the art of boxing and he meets also Toru Rikiishi (Yusuke Iseya) and a fierce, but respectful rivalry. I dont know if the movie will follow the comicbook or the animation but in the comicbook the boxing battle inside also involve other inmates and those inmates are of different skill levels.
Been a manga/anime fan I have been fortunate to see some of he classic animes online but not enough to say I know the story well, but its what I would call a classic manga and hopefully director  Fumihiko Sori has been respectful to the story as possble s a homage to it rather than in it to make quick money.
Ashita No Joe (Tommorrow's Joe) will be released by Toho in Japan on February 11th, 2011, trailer after the break...

trailer for kim-hong ik's HERO

source 24FramesPersecond
Vampire thmesd television and movies are poping up all due to the success of Twilight series and its not just Hollywood in Korea they have a new one HERO directed by Kim Hong-ik.
The trailer is really a 30 second teaser and though we dont get much insight into the story we can clearly see the movie is been aimed at the age group associated with Twilight, which to me is a little off putting. However theres signs that Ik's went for a more darker grittier edge plus giving the vamps a new look as in compared to the usual suspects in the genre, more blood less buffy.

Synopsis: Sim-dan gets bullied everyday in his school, becomes a vampire after an unexpected accident. After accepting this change, and thanks to his new found power, he saves a blind person who falls onto the track in front of a subway train. His story goes on air on TV news all over the nation, and many people start to call him a Hero. On the other hand, Sim-dan's friends start to wonder about how this power will effect him, and what is the true nature and intent of the dark force rising behind him, that’s returned after such a long sleep

The short movie is from Russia and is set in a post apocalyptic earth where people survive underwater (not as sub-mariner, though that might have cool though!). The film is set only a few years into the future and for years humans have adapted to life underwater until 2 men decided to go onland but its been so long would the barren land welcome the human race back?
