sourceTHEPEOPLESMOVIES
IFC Films via Yahoo have released the offical trailer for THE OTHER WOMAN which is directed by Don Roos and stars Natalie Portman, Scott Cohen, Lisa Kudrow and Lauren Ambrose.
The story of this movie is about Emilia (Portman) a lawyers assistant who marries her boss (Cohen) away from jealous ex-wife (Kudrow), she becomes pregent but sadly tradegy strikes as their newborn baby dies. Trying to come to terms with and coping with the grief she finds it hard to connect with her new stepson William (Cahrlie Tahan) but things are made difficult with Williams mum constantly intefering.
2011 is going to some year for Natalie Portman after several years of poor movies it seems things are looking up with Black Swan only 3 weeks away (21 Jan) and a certain Oscar nomination. She also has No Strings Attached, Your Highness and of Course Thor to look forward to but in personal life she is now engaged to Black Swan fellow producer Benjamin Millepied whom she is also pregent with so this movie is a good insight into some of the tribulations of motherhood she could experience.
This movie was originally called ‘Love and Other Impossible Pursuits based on a Ayelet Waldman novel which originally premiered at Toronto Film Festival in 2009 but dissapeared of the movie radar but now it will be released next week on VOD before its February 4th 2011 American cinematic release, nothing yet on a UK release. Trailer & new poster after the break....

"Never Outrun Whats In Your Blood" Trailer For

No comments:
I love watching adventure travel programmes where people pack up mimimal things get on a bike and travel around the world or at least a famous trade route.Charlie Boorman  did a few great programmes with his friend Ewan MaGregor on bikes plus 2 (By Any Means) by himself, so I wasnt surprised when I noticed hes in a movie which has a travel theme in it well its TRAVELLERS.

The movie is a independent thriller about 4 friends who set out on a motorcycle adventure weekend, clocking up miles in an attempt to outrun their age and urban lifestyles. After bartering with a local land owner for a place to set up camp, they spend the night reminiscing over their wasted youth. The following morning they spot an ominous looking caravan, and decide to investigate. Within minutes, an idiotic prank leads to a series of brutal events and a deadly race for survival. A modern plunge back into the worlds created by movies such as 'Deliverance' and 'Southern Comfort' but with a gritty British twang. Kidnap, murder and a hidden past are just some of the reasons these four adventurers should have stayed at home. An action thriller that will make you question who the villains really are. You cant outrun what's in your blood.
The movie also stars Shane Sweeney, Tom Geoffrey and Alex Edwards and Dean S. Jagger and the movie will get a limited cinema release on January 13th before its released on dvd February 7th. Its just ironic Charley Boormans dad John (and himself appeared in it) was the director of Deliverence, just surpise Boorman's not been in more movies or at least tv dramas, thats life for you!

Film producer Jamie Tighe has sent me the trailer for his new British independent hostage drama/thriller LOW. The movie stars Amy Comper & David Keyes and its another fine example that you dont have to have major movie budget to make a good qaulity movie as this one was made on a shoestring. The movie doesnt have a distributor yet but Ive seen below plus hearing the reviews of the movie have been positive its just a matter of time it gets picked up.

"A lonely city girl finds herself taken hostage by disturbed outsider. Miles from home she must not only escape her captor, but also protect a dark and dangerous secret."

When I think of Johnnie To I think of high octaine, thrillers, with plenty of bullets and guts flying around but To directing a romance movie? Oh Yes Yes Yes as the Churchill talking dog would say DONT GO BREAKING MY HEART is a romance starring  Daniel Wu, Louis Koo and Yuanyuan Gao and below after the break is the movies first trailer and the movie will be out in China sometime in 2011.

Yen is a single girl from China working in an IT company in Hong Kong. Overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of this sleepless city, she feels increasingly like a fish out of water. Just when she has almost succumbed to the inevitable prospect of being alone and lonely in this unfriendly place, her fate begins to turn in an unexpected way.
One day, she notices a handsome hunk in the office building across the street from hers trying to catch her attention with paper signs. She immediately picks up a scrap of paper and doodles back. A quirky romance ensues as she starts communicating with him by paper signs every day.

On the day when she finally has the chance to meet him in flesh and blood, however, she discovers to her consternation that this so-called romance has been an embarrassing mix-up on her part. The love notes this guy, Sean, has been writing are only meant for a sexy vixen working at the office above hers. He is oblivious to her existence, let alone their blossoming romance.

Just when Yen is ready to crawl back to her lonesome shell, her fate changes again. She is accosted by a beggar called Kevin in the park and is captivated by the sad expression on his face. They start talking and, before they know it, have become the best of friends. She learns that this starkly handsome beggar was an elite architect who ended up wandering the streets after losing his self. Yen starts helping him rebuild his confidence and get back on tracks.

Months pass. Sean finally gives up his life as a playboy and realizes Yen is the dream girl he would like to spend the rest of his life with. Meanwhile, the rebound Kevin is also planning to propose to Yen at the rooftop of his latest design that was inspired by his love for her.
Yen is no longer alone and lonely, but will she be able to find her true love?
