Adam Driver Unravels The 'Dark Side' To Protect A Child In Hungry Hearts
Before he heads to a Galaxy far far away Adam Driver has a small matter of an indie Psychological Thriller Hungry Hearts where he'll explore a different 'dark side'. The film is set for a limited release next month IFC Films have released the official trailer reveals a father love to protect his child from his wife's paranoia.
Hungry Hearts tales the story of New York City newlyweds Jude (Adam Driver) and Mina (I Am Love's Alba Rohrwacher) have a seemingly perfect relationship. But things take an unsettling turn with the birth of their son. Convinced that the baby must be kept free of all contaminants, Mina develops fanatical obsessions with veganism, cleanliness, and purity that may kill the child unless Jude can stop her. With stunning performances from Driver and Rohrwacher, this intense psychological drama suggests that sometimes a parent’s love can be the scariest thing of all.
Since it's world premiere at Toronto Film Festival last year the film has been getting some good reviews that good luck followed it to London too. Whilst some are promoting this as a romantic drama however it's more a thriller with dark and sinister undertones, them been the mental health of Rohrwacher's character. It's good to see a film underline the awareness of first time mums and how sometimes under the joy of been a mother for first times we forget the question "how are you mum?".
Hungry Hearts gets an US 5th June limited/VOD release, co-starring Jake Weber, Roberta Maxwell, and David Aaron Baker.
The Bullied Rise In International Trailer For Young Adult FilmFaeryville
This Autumn the king(or Queen) of the Young Adult films The Hunger Games will be ending so we'll then see many wannabes fighting for that crown. YA films are not just Hollywood based Singapore have Dystopian Young Adult film Faeryville is on the verge of a release in it's native Singapore and we have a look at the film's official trailer.
It was 8 years in the making but the long road for filmmaker Tzang Merwyn Tong the end is nearly in sight for his indie produced film is weeks away from it's official cinematic release. A film that inspires the bullied to stand up what they stand for whilst they might be afraid of what they fight for...
Poe and his friends are pranksters in Faeryville College, often bullied by the oppressive fraternity. To protect themselves, they form a clique calling themselves The Nobodies. Enter Laer, a new transfer student who joins The Nobodies, inspiring them to move from stink bombs to homemade explosives. Youthful idealism soon becomes an excuse for all-out anarchy.
Faeryville doesn't have a UK release however back in January the film made it's international premiere in USA leaving with some fantastic reviews. The above trailer is the films 'international version' so they are expecting for the film to be released globally. Faeryville will be released cinematically in Singapore 26th May.
The film stars Lyon Sim, Aaron Samuel Yong, Tanya Graham, Jae Leung, Farid Assalam, Kris Moller.

BFI Unleash A Stunning New UK trailer For Upcoming Blade Runner:The Final Cut
You may say to yourself "Again?!!!" but to true film fans will relish a rare chance to see Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi Masterpiece Blade Runner on the big screen again, watch new trailer.
After numerous special editions for the home release and fans of the cult film argue which one is the best, we have to say the best is to relive the enjoyment of the big screen. BFI are bringing the film back to UK cinemas for a limited release and if your of a certain age group (like myself) either too young or weren't born so we see this as a rare chance.
So what version version will we watch? BFI are distributing Blade Runner:The Final Cut the version approved by director Ridley Scott, here's what he said about this version...
“The Final Cut is my definitive version of BLADE RUNNER, and I’m thrilled that audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy it in the way I intended – on the big screen. This new trailer captures the essence of the film and I hope will inspire a new generation to see BLADE RUNNER when it is re-released across the UK on 3 April.”

BFI To Release Feng Xiaogang's Back To 1942 Starring Adrien Brody, Tim Robbins, Watch UK Trailer
From acclaimed director Feng Xiaogang (Aftershock, Assembly) comes this breathtaking war epic which revisits one of the most catastrophic periods of 20th-century Chinese history – the famine in Back to 1942 will be released by the BFI on 23 February 2014 on both DVD and Blu-ray with additional special features.
Zhang Guoli stars as Master Fan, a wealthy landlord who loses everything when he and his family flee their famine-stricken hometown. Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist) co-stars as a courageous American journalist who encounters the horrors of the famine first-hand and endeavours to enlist relief-aid from the Chinese government and expose the plight of the Henan refugees.
Awe-inspiring action and intelligent characterisation combine to masterful effect in this explosive blockbuster.
Back to 1942 was screened at BFI Southbank last February, attended by director Feng Xiaogang, ahead of the major BFI season A Century of Chinese Cinema.
Back To 1942 will arrive in UK on DVD&Blu-ray on 23rd February and we hope to review this closer to release. The film Guoli Zhang, Hanyu Zhang, Wei Fan and of course Hollywood Stars Adrien Brody, Tim Robbins.
Pre-Order/Buy Back To 1942 (Blu-ray Edition which comes a host of extras which include original trailers, promoreel, a couple of short features. The blu-ray also exclusively have 2 extra features which give a running time of 80 minutes between them.

Kodi Smit-McPhee Is All Grown Up Full Of Angst In All The Wilderness Trailer
In The Road as The Boy his childhood was stolen from him thanks to an apocalyptic event, In Let Me In bullying destroyed him and in All The Wilderness he's a young man struggling to cope with the death of his father. He attends counselling meeting a psychiatrist (Danny Devito) who through his visit meets Val (Isabelle Fuhrman) another patient who introduces him to a whole new world that changes his life.
On paper this looks like it maybe another generic coming of age story but reading reviews from it's festivl runs it looks like its better executed than other entries. The film also further shows the talent that Smit-McPhee is becoming too, Beautifully shot and with a film soundtrack which has the likes of Sigur Ros on it should see this film get some form of release in UK&Ireland.
All The Wilderness is due for a limited/VOD Release in USA on 20th February co-starring Virigina Marsden and Evan Moss.
James (Kodi-Smit-McPhee) has shut himself off from his surroundings, falling into a world of imagination and darkness. Visits with his psychiatrist (Danny Devito) have proven unhelpful – though he takes a liking to fellow patient, Val (Isabelle Fuhrman). As James begins to rebel against his single mother (Virginia Madsen), he ventures into the night where he meets a mysterious kid (Evan Ross) who welcomes him into an eccentric city. Relationships are put to the test as James navigates unfamiliar territory, wrestling with the reality of his own personal wilderness.

Did You Hear Voices Or The New Trailer For Enter The Dangerous Mind Trailer
When it comes to horror flicks these day the psychological thriller-horrors are the ones that seem to deliver the everlasting memories.The Babadook is one certain film another is a film that arrived on the festival circuit in 2013 Enter The Dangerous Mind (then called Snap) has a new trailer check it out
EDM for short made its name at SXSW back in 2013 and those fortunate to see it then have stated it's left a impact on them , be it the nastiness of the film or the great use of the film's soundtrack as an extra level of tension. These are attributes tick the boxes for horror fans, it's not The Babadook but it does sound it uses some of the same checklist to deliver us all the scares.
Enter The Dangerous Mind tells the tale of a troubled musician/composer Jim (Jake Hoffman) whose past has been nothing but trouble and is struggling with his grip on reality. When he thinks he has a shot of happiness when he meets Wenday (Nikki Reed) those long buried memories decide to surface forcing him on a deep violent abyss when crushes become obsession.
No word on a UK release, if anything this could sneek onto a direct to DVD release later this year possibly next, but for U.S its 6th February limited theatrical release as well as a VOD release. The film also stars Scott Bakula, Thomas Dekker, Gina Rodriguez and Jason Priestly.

Berlinale 2015 - Watch The Trailer For Opening Gala Nobody Wants The Night Starring Juliet Binoche
2015 Cinehouse And The People's Movies are hoping to spread our wings internationally and next week we will at Sundance Film Festival.In February we also hope to attend Berlin for the first time and today we get our first look at the trailer for the opening film Nobody Wants The Night.
Starring Juliette Binoche, Gabriel Byrne and Rinko Kukuchi, Nobody Wants The Night is set in 1908 a true story that accounts of an upper class womanJosephine (Binoche) who braves the dangerous Artic conditions. She is however the wife of celebrated adventurer Robert Peary however she's not only woman braving the elements Allaka (Kikuchi) pregnant to meet her lover and father of her child who happens to be same man Josephine is heading to. After an event both women as they attempt to survive the most hospitable conditions on Earth.
It's refreshing to see Survival tales from a woman as epic adventures usually one taken by a man, it's also a slight unusual twist on romance too. Fantastic cast and certain to get a good festival run then a UK distribution, which you could see someone like Artificial Eye, Soda Pictures, Studiocanal picking this film up.
Nobody Wants The Night is directed by Spanish filmmaker Isabel Coixet filmed in Norway and Tnerife, Spain.,Berlin Film Festival opens 5th February.
