Trailer For Un Poison Violent (Love Like Poison)

I love Radiohead and have there music on my mp3 player as well play via my laptop as I write this blog, love it when there songs are used in movies be it the originals or covers by others but how many trailers are we going to get with the cover of Creep as its tune?
First we have David Fincher's Social Network trailer and now add Un Poison Violent (Love Like Poison)Katell Quillévéré’s new movie. What's so annoying its the same choir cover so the count is on to see which film will use it next!
Un Poison Violent is an awarding winning movie winning one of the prizes at this years Cannes Festival and the movie is about Anna a young girl who comes home from boarding school to find her family is falling apart. Throw in her confirmation, her father leaving and her  new love interest.
The movie does look wonderfully shot and it does seem to cover religion and faith quite strongly with the young girl questioning her faith which is good as a religion is usually forced on people when there young by there parents, I repsect religions but against religion been forced on people by others. If you want religion, you will find it not others and despite the repetite music it does help the trailer very well.
The movie is out in France on August 4th, trailer after the break...

Dante Lam's THE STOOL PIGEON (Sin Yan) will be out in Hong Kong on August 26th and it has a new trailer now in English subtitles. Lam has been seen by many as the new John Woo as in capturing Woo's early Hong Kong gangster/action movies such as Hard Boiled (Chow Yun Fat), a spirit that Hong Kong has missed for a few years and hopefully on its way back. The movie stars Nicholas Tse ,Nick Cheung, Lunmei Kwai and Yu Li.
Senior Inspector Don Lee relies heavily on the information provided by stool pigeons in his job.Barbarian is a painstakingly meticulous armed robber. Don needs an informant to infiltrate his gang. He recruits street-racer Guy. Guy provides information on Barbarian’s next job, but Don is unable to effectively act on them until the final moment. Since Barbarian has not left any evidence, Don is pressured to convince Guy to become a witness for the prosecution.Don promises to provide Guy with a new identity in another country, but the departure is beset by accidents and Guy only barely makes it to safety.Haunted by his ruined relationships with his ex-wife and former stool pigeons, Don no longer wants to be part of a world that is one betrayal after another.

Jermain Clement is in a bit of a PREDICAMENT , here's the trailer...

I've never really watched Flight of the Conchords starring Jermaine Clement but in Gentlemen's Bronco he was the star of the mvie with has character Chevallier, simply genius.

Now Clement is in bit of a catch 22 situation with his new flick PREDICAMENT where he is a blackmail artist along with Hayden Frost and Heath Franklin when things go terribly wrong for them. This movie just looks full of your crazy slapstick macabre comedy where all involved are just plain stupid even if there trying to be serious, any check the trailer out after the break...

Trailer For YELLOW (CRUZANDO EL LÍMITE)

No comments:
source Quietearth
Xavi Giménez  is renowned for his cinematography on many big movies including The Machinist (Christian Bale) and more recently Agora (Rachel Weisz) but no w he makes his directoral debut with CRUZANDO EL LÍMITE (Yellow). I dont have much info on it but it does look very impressive especially for a debut feature, very gritty and the boot camp type drama, maybe like a das experiment for young adults . The movie will be out sometime this year in Spain and if Spain is anything like Hollywood it could be within the next 3 months.
Trailer after the break....

Luis is the single father of sixteen year old Fran. Father and son are both going through a rough patch. In a desperate attempt to salvage their relationship Luis has taken a dramatic decision: to enroll his son in an “education” center.

Although Luis believes he is doing the right thing, the truth is he doesn’t know everything he should about the school’s methodology. Outraged by his father’s betrayal, Fran will do his best to show everyone at the school that he is not about to give in. But the school’s specialty is precisely to fight that kind of behavior.

Outside, Luis can’t help but wondering if he’s done the right thing; inside, Fran is going through a Guantanamo-like experience. Father and son have never been further apart.

source Nippon Cinema
A new full trailer and second teaser trailer have been released for Kimi ni Todoke. The movie is due for release in Japan on September 25th and is a live action version of the popular manga (turned anime) by Karuho Shiina.
The movie stars Mikako Tabe as high school student Sawako Kuronuma and she gets called Sadako after the character from the Ring movie simply due to her long dark hair an gloomy appearance. No one really talks to her until one day Shota Kazehaya (Haruma Miura) one of the popular male classmates talks to her and things grow into a friendship leading into areas of life Swako would never think off...Romance.
This is a typical and very popluar romance genre within Japanese teens and you'll find hundreds of similar stories to this one but only the better ones become animes then features. Its a little like mill and boon for Japanese teen girls.
