Its hard and very emtional when murders dont get solved but when its children the emtional level just gets bigger. Above is the trailer for the dramatic and emtional German movie Das letzte Schweigen.
Its a 13 year old girl called Sinikka who vanishes on a very hot summer night 23 years previous but her bike suddenly appears from knowhere in the exact spot of her murder. This opens up the wounds of those people involved in the original case to face the past once again.

Ulrich Tukur Interview: Michael Haneke's A White Ribbon

No comments:

Friday saw the release of Michael Haneke's movie A White Ribbon (Das weisse Band - Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte). This is a movie about strange events happen in a small village in the north of Germany during the years just before World War I, which seem to be ritual punishment. The abused and suppressed children of the villagers seem to be at the heart of this mystery.
The movie touches very sensitive subject of child abuse which may not appeal to everyone but we cannot hide from the fact that sadly abuse to children still happens all around the world. If you include abuse in a movie or a book it has to be handled in a way to alert the reader/or viewer such things happen but dont do it in a way to disgust.
Ulrich Tukur is a star of the movie and Screenrush recently caught up with the actor on a promotional tour for the movie and here's the interview:
