A First Look At District 9's Sharlto Copley's directorial debut SPOON
source Twitch
Sharlto Copley broke into hollywood movies in 2009 as the lead character of District 9 soon we will also see him playing murgdock in the 2010 movie version of the classic 1980's tv show A-Team, but Copelys ambitions where not always to be in front of the camera.
Copley actually started life in film as a producer but just like alot of peoples dreams they take a different direction sometimes in the wrong way but alot of times in the right direction and you could say Copely has went in the right way. Yes he may have made more of a name for himself for the few movies he has appeared in but with that stardom it can help you go back and make things possible you wanted to do previously and now we have SPOON.
The movie has been described as:
"thriller with supernatural overtones about a man with a medical condition that causes him to black out during moments of extreme stress and leads him to make a remarkable discovery about himself"
Spoon is played by British tv star Daniel Boyd (Green Wing, ReGenisis, Smack The Pony) with the legendary Rugter Hauer playing his dad Victor.
The movie has been in production for a while but finally its at the stage can start to enjoy or at least understand what the movie is all about. After the break you can watch the first teaser trailer, not much happens but enough to get you interested in following the trailers to make sense of the movie.

Trailer for the WINNEBAGO MAN Documentary
source ThePlaylist
I hold my hands up Ive never heard of Winnebago Man but he's a youtube/internet Phenomenom from 1980's Amercian free public access tv, so why is he famous? Jack Rebney made short sales videos selling Winnebago caravan motors which I would call a symbol of Middle class America and there key to explore the big country (especially 1980's). So when he made these short film ads he could not stop cursing and constantly they had to do re-takes, so when you watch the ads they are really funny .
The whole shebang started as a short ads and built up into a short 4 minute reel which was first on VHS tape passed around among the filmcrew and there family & friends and now its ended up online in youtube making hime a overnight viral video superstar.
Filmmaker Ben Steinbauer decided to search the four corners of the earth to seek out the internet legend we now call Winnebago Man aka Jack Rebney and this movie is his story .
The movie is getting a limited release in USA with Kino showing the movie at a cinema near you from July 9th and unless Winnebago man has any type of following in UK or Ireland I doubt we'll see this movie.
The trailer andthe 4 minute film reel that kicked off the legend can be watched after the break...

Claustaphobia hit this intense new teaser trailer for 2084
Souce QuietEarth
I've heard about this movie for a little while but when I watched the first teaser trailer for 2084, I wasnt that impressed as for the second trailer I cant really remember much about it but now we have a third trailer.
Until now the movie name was the only thing I remembered about it but after watching the third teaser trailer I am now very keen to see this movie. The trailer is very intense, dark but most of all claustophobic.
I got a slight 28 days later feel minus the grittiness (as well as not as dark as 28 days) , with the virus been the killer here and been told to stay indoors as chaos roams with the survivors its one I do want to see.
So check out the trailer after the break ......

With The Sucess of The Millenum Trilogy from Steig Larsson so far outside his native scandanavia, it was only a matter of time before some other similar book come movie will make its move into international shores.
The movie is called PRIEST OF EVIL (Harjunpää ja pahan pappi) created by acclaimed author Matti Yrjänä Joensuu
and Timo Harjunpää is Joensuu's most well known fictional detective and now he'll be coming to the big screen but will he have the same success as the girl with the dragon tattoo? Only time will tell.
Below is the book's synopsis as I'm unable to get hold of the movie one in english and after the break check out the trailer/teaser....

Watch This: Animated Short AZUREUS RISING
source QuietEarth
Well its been nearly 5 weeks since I posted something on the blog but here we go again and we kick off with a little cracker of a animated sci-fi short called AZUREUS RISING.
Yep you will see alot of cliches and similar stuff from other movies with Matrix looking like its biggest inspiration but this is not a dig at this movie. The movie world be it animated or real world the movie genres have been used so much so its no surprise you'll see cliches but its what you do with them and create them into something different is what makes movies great and the team behind Azureus have done that.
Whats good about this is that this short movie hasn't taken the gritty realism route many of the current crop of movies have taken. The movies main character is a freedom fighter but who he is fighting we dont really know but the whole thing just looks so good we dont really care!!!
There is a plan to possibly expand this into a trilogy possibly as a trilogy of shorts or even full length live actions, check out the offical website here,
