Sublime Trailer For Animated PATHS OF HATE
source Twitch
When comes to animation here in the west we seem to be very one dimensional and play things safe by really only following the big studios like Walt Disney and Dreamworks. Like Hollywood and Independent movie time after time theres proof that going outside mainstream things can be better qaulity and thus people should check out the smaller companies like Platige Image from Poland who from the evidence of the trailer are a re studio people should check out as there simply a talented bunch. PATHS OF HATE is a prime example of how underated the studio is, withs it sublime visual style which has been created so beautifully the whole look at times looks realistic.

"Paths of Hate" is a dynamic tale about hatered which is the indispensable element of human nature. Damian Nenow has created a film that matches Visual attractiveness of American action cinema and European reflexive character of author cinema. The audience is being drawn into the middle of a fight, of an unknown origins. The finale of it is a bitter author's comment.

Watch The Erie Post Apocalyptic Short RETRIBUTION (Prelude)
Soure QuietEarth
We do love our shorts here at Cinehouse Hq, especially the post apoclyptic ones like RETRIBUTION (Prelude). The short movie has be created by Lenore Romas and William DeJessa who are actually going to create a feature length version and its fantastic what you can do with desolute buildings, old railtracks, creating a essense of a errie dead world and throw a movie with no dialogue creates a real dark amotsphere, a struggle for humanity and I like what I see here.
This short is really a arc for the feature length movie thats starting to film in January and the appearence of what we believe is a woman curiousity wants you to find out who she (or he is). Short after the break....

Impressive Trailer For BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW
Source HeyUguys
I spotted this a few days ago and quickly had a glance at it and believed it was only a cool looking music video but its actually a cool teaser trailer for a movie called BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW by Panos Cosmatos. The movie is set in 1983 and is inspired by the emotional backdrop of the Ronald Reagan era and childhood memories of midnight movies and saturday morning cartoons.
Visually this is stunning and the synth soundtrack by Black Mountain's Jeremy Schmidt gives the movie that haunting intriguing amotspheric feel. Been a kid of the 1980's in UK I can relate to the visual & audio stylings of the movie and with many of todays youngsters also inspired by sound and fashion of the generation maybe Beyond The Black Rainbow you may find entertaining.
Beyond the Black Rainbow is due to be premiered at the Whistler Film Festival canada Friday december 3rd, check out the synopsis & trailer after the break....

"The Hills Are Alive With Sound Music...dahhhhhh!!!" when you think of music in movies Julie Andrews in the sound of music is a movie that comes to mind, but what if that movie isnt a musical but its musical based? You might be saying "wtf!?"
So what if you mixed up the London west end musical of Stomp with terrorists and a heist movie and what do we get?.....SOUND OF NOISE
When your going to hold up a bank for ransom do what stomp do use whatever is around you as a musical instrument and given your hostages a little musical rendition to ease the pain of the robbery rob the bank but no uncores. These criminals turn the whole city there in into one big musical can you imagine if Jacques Mesrine when he used to rob to banks next door to each other belting out a French musical classic?!
Sound of Noise has been getting its plaudits since its first screening at Cannes and his swept the awards in its genre when it done its journey around this years festival circuit. The movie is very different and gives a new fresh look at heist movies and when you watch it first you do get an impression its a musical viral but obiviously its not and if its winning the awards its a movie you may want to check out when it'll hopefully make a stop at arthouse/indie cinema near you.
Sound Of Noise is due to be released in Sweden on December 25th, check out the synopsis & trailer after the break...

Teaser Trailer For Chen Daming's WHAT WOMAN WANT Remake starring Andy Lau
sourceFilmsmash
Mel Gibson may not be the man of the moment due to his much publicised private life but his old movies attracting a lot of attention and one has been remade in asia. You maybe looking at his movie cv thinking it must be Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, Patriot or even Signs, nope! His foray into romcom in 2000 with Helen Hunt with WHAT WOMAN WANT!!!
Yes folks yes Mel Gibson's romcom has been remade in China with Chinese megastar Andy Lau reprising Gibson's role and Gon Li in Helen Hunt's part. Asia is going through a phase of remaking Hollywood movies with a Japanese version of Ghost already been made and a few others on the cards as well. The whole thing with these Hollywood remakes is all down to a recent deal which see several big named movies getting a asian makeover but I dont blame the asian film market for trying as hollywood has been for years destroying many fantastic asian/world cinema movies with mediocre version.
So above is the first trailer and the movie will be released in China on February 14th, 2011.
Fred Wang (Andy Lau) is the top gun of the leading ad agency has his mind fixed on promotion to creative director. When the post was given to a new colleague Ellen, Fred is given an assignment to prove himself - pitch for a women's hygiene product. While brainstorming Fred met with an accident at home. He wakes up to discover his new gift - the ability to hear women's thoughts. The chauvinist suddenly becomes the expert on women psychology.
