Its Daddy Cool Teaser trailer For French Canadian movie FUNKYTOWN

No comments:
source Twitch
I dont mind dance themed movies that have some sort of story behind other than dance, films like step up which are pure dance movies and tough they performers are very talented they dont just interest me especially when your bombarded on tv with programmes like Britian's got talent your bombarded every minute of theday. So FUNKYTOWN is a movie set in 1976 Montreal when punk and disco where the music to listen to but disco was the more popular mainstream choice when studio 54 inspired clubs ruled the roost along with sexual freedom. The movie is based around the  Limelife Discotheque where if your into disco and you wanted to mingle with the celebs this was the place to go.
The movie is very dark, sexy and for adults as well those who love Saturday Night Fever as this seems to mold into a similar style movie and they do it well. The movie is in French and directed by  Daniel Roby and stars

Patrick Huard, Paul Doucet, Raymond Bouchard, Sarah Mutch, Justin Chatwin, Geneviève Brouillette and François Létourneau.

Funkytown is set for a 2011 release, check the first teaser trailer after the break,...

English Subbed Trailer For Korean HAUNTED HOUSE PROJECT

No comments:

Source24FPS
Back in the summer I brought you the trailer for THE DESERTED HOUSE, a Korean hand held cam horror but now a english subtitled version has hit the net with its new name THE HAUNTED HOUSE PROJECT. The movie does actually look scary, a bit of a slowburner at first and it seems to go crazy and we see elements ofParanormal Activity, Blair Witch Project and even a little Last Exorcism, enough to give you a few brown trouser moments!Today in Singapore the movie was released which means we're able to catch a english subitles

Synopsis: Over the course of forty two years, six went missing, eight had unexplained accidents and eleven were murdered. Three haunted house club members and three camera crew decide to look into this infamously haunted house, known to be possessed by real ghosts. Ignoring all signs from the other world, they enter this haunted house and disappear without a trace. Video footage of what they saw during their visit was later recovered, which may reveal why and how they met their end.

Final Trailer For Adam Mason's LUSTER

No comments:
source TWITCH
Know Your Enemy as the poster says, but who is the enemy? Andrew Howerd stars as Anderew Luster a trouble businessman who is trying to make sense in whats going on and only to find who he is arguing with is nastier manipulative alter ego. murder, madness and mayhem will take Luster in one hell of a roller coster ride of his life.
I really love the way the trailer shows the two sides of Luster the good and the bad sides it reminded me of the Andy Serkis Gollum/smeagol part in Lord of The Rings movies, smartly done to make the viewer think there is actual two people. Apparently this movie has taken a long time to be made but now its in the final stages of post production before its release date and to tell how long its been in post production director Adam Mason has made  the horror movie PIG .
LUSTER also stars Xander Berkley (24, Nikita, Kick Ass), Holly Valance (Neighbours, Taken, Shark, Prison Break) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Drive Angry 3D), trailer after the break.....

No Crocidile Shoes in this movie just Crocidile heads with trailer For KNIFER

No comments:
Source TwitchFilm
Not as maniac as Gaspar Noe but just as odd as well as compelling below after the break you'll find the trailer for KNIFER.
This is not exactly a new trailer as I posted this originally in August as Macherovgaltis(Μαχαιροβγάλτης)  but now the trailer has been repackaged with its new English name KNIFER. Thanks to the sucess of Dogtooth, Attenburg around the Film Festival circuit, now Yannis Economides is trying to follow suit and looking at the evidence he should do fairly well. So if you like your movies a mixture of arthouse elegence, weirdness with plenty of drama you should check this one out ....

Trailer For Stellan Skarsgaard in KINGS OF DEVIL ISLAND (Kongen av Bastøy)

No comments:
source Twitch
There's a few actors out there in movieland who may have a few years ago appeared in one or two good movies then disappeared of the face of the earth and suddenly there appearing in every tom dick or harry, Stellan Skarsgaard is one of those actors however he does choose better 'qaulity parts'.
For those who just see Hollywood many only see Skarsgaard as bootsrap bill from Pirates of Carribean, One of the three dads in Mama Mia or the Vactian City chief security officer in Angels & Demons, but lookfurther affield we are talking about one of Scandanavia's biggest movie stars and below is the trailer for his next movie KINGS OF DEVIL ISLAND (Kongen av Bastøy).
The movie is set in a Oslo Young persons prison during the early 20th century, though he maybe the big name its the youngsters playing the prisoners who are the real stsars her with Benjamin Helstad one of the noteable names delivering what looks like a positive review with this movie only been his second feature. Kristoffer Joner another big name in Norway also appears.

KINGS OF THE DEVIL ISLAND will be out on December 17th in scandanavia, synopsis and trailer after the break....

UK Trailer For MAMMOTH starring Michelle Williams & Gael Garcia Bernal

No comments:
Soda Pictures have sent me the new trailer for MAMMOTH starring Michelle Williams and Gael Garcia  Bernal which is getting a limited release in UK & Ireland next Friday 5th November.
Dysfunctional families seem to be one of the big movie topic especially in the independant/world cinema with Kids Are All Alright ( lesbien couple with kids trying to contact their biological father) and early next year Animal Kingdom about the youngest of a  known criminal family who doesnt want to be in the 'family business' and is pressurised to blag on his family to the cops.In Mammoth Leo(Bernal) is an owner of a booming gaming website and Ellen a emergency nurse  and they have a 8 year old daughter who seems to spend more time with the Fillipino maid (Marife Necesito) who works long and hard to send money home for her 2 sons. Leo heads to Thailand for business and what happens there sparks of a string of events that lead to consquences to all of them.
Mammoth is directed by acclaimed  Swedish director Lucas Moodysson ( A Hole In My Heart, Container). Apoligies to Soda Pictures for taking so long to post this. You can catch Mammoth at Odeon Convent Garden London and Screen Dublin

Rutger Hauer will be known to many as the pyschotic killer cyborg in Blade Runner then remembered for been the man in black in the popular Guiness tv adverts during the 1980's and now he's doing arthouse in Fluer Boonman's PORTABLE LIFE.
The movie is wonderfully shot and since the era I called my 're-education' in movies I do love watching these arthouse type movies many are fantastically weird others terrible and curiousity drives you to watch.

Portable life is been aimed for a February 1st 2011 release in Netherlands, trailer after the break...

Trailer & Video Inteview For RESTREPO

No comments:
source Screenrush
This weekend in UK, Dogwoof released the tense wartorn documentary RESTREPO.
The movie has been described as The  Real Hurt Locker with more tension & emotion, going into a war seeing  things from a different angle , trying to get a little more respect for the soldiers as the the movie also shows the postwar effect on soldier as well. But what the movie does do you come out with no respect for the politicans who sent the soldiers into this unjust war, hiding behind an excuse for making the war just when we know that its a curtain for the real reason.
Our good friends at Screenrush caught up with the movies director Tim Hetherington asking him about the pressures in creating a documentary in a warzone, Ive also included the trailer for the movie as well, as I dodnt post it previously.
Check out the video interview and Trailer after the break...

Final New Trailer Jose Padilha's ELITE SQUAD 2

No comments:
source Twitch
A new final trailer for Jose Padilha's ELITE SQUAD 2 (Tropa de Elite 2 ) went online the weekend the movie was released cinematically in Brazil.
The movie has had its fair share of critics who've tried to prevent the movie been released but those critics arent film ones but the police whom this film is about and the corruption within the force. To really piss off the police thousands of bootleg copies where made and sold on the streets and thats what i call a vote of confidence from the people!
Whatever the police where goint to do in attempt to stop the movie it wasnt going to suceed as people power won at the end of the day and Padilha has the critics backing with Berlin film fest awarding the movie an accolade! The actual movie does look good with a mixed bag of action as well as drama, trailer after the break...

Theatrical Trailer For Award Winning Documentary MARWENCOL

No comments:

Thanks to everyone keeping the faith with the blog as well the Peoples Movies, its been a hard time for all, I'm doing my best with a new job and now very limited time to post and been let down by several people who offered to help out and basically stabbed me in the back.
There is however one person true to his word and helped me out thats Cinehouse supporter Pierre who alerted me to this, the theatrical trailer for MARWENCOL. This is a documentary is about Mark Hogancamp a man who was brutally assulted and beaten to a pulp left for dead leaving Mark with Brain damage and massive loss of memory. The documentary catalogues Mark's fascinatiing unusal road to recovery by creating 1:16 scale fictional town of Marwencol set in WW2 all created in his backyard and watching the movie you can see he has become consumed in the whole town.
The movie is also further evidence that people's road to recovery from a pyshical injury & psychological scars are different and the so called 'convental' way isn't always the answer.Marwencol is a captivating movie which you deeply connect with Mark and you do have the feeling you are on that road to recovery with him, its sad but deeply uplifting.
The movie has won numerous awards including SXSW, Cleveland, Seattle and Comic-Con Best Documentary Awards, so if thats not proof to check this out  well enough said. IFC Films will release the movie in USA on October 8th but no word on the British release, hopefully cinematically but more likely to be direct to DVD, trailer after the break....
